Ladies, Valentine’s Day is here and I already know what your Valentine wants… You in lingerie! It is also a gift to yourself because you will feel that much sexier! Naya says this is one of her best tricks to keeping the magic alive. Although Naya and I have very similar taste in lingerie (Oh, hiii black lace!), we have very different bodies, so us wearing the same styles would be truly devastating. We discussed how to flatter different sized figures over a couple glasses of wine one night and we wanted to share.
First let’s talk about A and B cup sizes. If you are smaller chested, go for a padded push up like Cosabella’s Never Say Never Push Up (top left). I love this bra because it really creates a lot of cleavage. The bra itself is really sexy and simple and the back is lace as well. I’m also a fan of Cosabella’s Peacock Wireless Bra (top right). This one is not padded, but creates cleavage with the fabric on the sides as well as the cross back. Cross back bras create extra cleavage and are great at pushing up. An added bonus with a cross back is that it pulls your shoulders back which helps with posture. The second I saw this bra, it literally stopped me in my tracks. The design of it is so amazing, I wouldn’t ever want to put a shirt on over it! It’s important that you have a bra that will enhance what you have, but not over do it with the padding. Don’t add more than a full cup size when it comes to lingerie.
Now for the C and D cups and bigger. It is important to have support and a bra that fits well. Just because a bra style comes in your size does NOT mean it is for you. So if you try it on and it doesn’t look right just accept the fact it was not meant to be and move on. I have learned this lesson the hard way. So if you have a bigger chest make sure it is well supported. Also, I’m noticing the large selection of padded bras for D cups and bigger. You already have enough of a good thing and don’t need to go bigger. For C cups I picked the Bat Your Lashes Bra by For Love & Lemons Skivvies (bottom left). This is by far my favorite piece of lingerie. It is so feminine and I love all the lace. You can pair it under a slightly sheer sweater or top, like you would a camisole, and this way your Valentine can get a sneak peak of what’s in store for later! This is great for a C cup because it isn’t padded but offers support with the underwire. For D cups, I picked the For Love & Lemons Skivvies Show-Off Bodysuit (bottom right). It creates a really flattering and sexy silhouette with the seam at the waist and shapes the chest with the lining at the bust. It is hard to find a body suit that fits a large chest well and I found it in this body suit. I also would pair this with jeans and a blazer or a high waisted skirt and jacket and wear it out.
There is a theme in all the lingerie I selected and that is black lace. It’s classic, it’s sexy, and it looks great on everyone. Also it’s easy to mix and match black lace bras with a bigger selection of panties. For example, there are a lot more black lace panties and thongs than there are red panties. Also when it comes to panties, Naya likes to take a less is more approach. “The less material the better.” I like the Brazilian cut panties. They are wider in the back and cut about halfway down the butt cheek. We both like the look of pulling the sides of your panties up to your hips. It may sound 80’s, but it creates an extremely flattering silhouette and your hips have less fat for the panties to dig into creating a smoother figure. This also makes your legs look longer. Naya describes wearing them high on the hips as, “the way God intended.” We both also love a nice silk or lace robe. Most importantly, when it comes to lingerie, wear what makes you feel sexy and what you are comfortable in. No matter what your body type, your Valentine will love anything you wrap yourself in! XO
